How We Met
by David

March 10, 2006: One night in mid march I went out with a couple of friends from school. We drove to downtown and were going to meet up with a few other people. As fate would have it Arin had just recently moved back to town, and was also out with some friends that she hadn’t seen in a while.

When my friends and I arrived downtown we made our way to a bar and met up with the other group. There sitting in a booth with her friends sat Arin. My friends David commented on her and I agreed she was very pretty, but I was just to shy to try to talk to her.

After a while the group decided to go to another bar that was a couple of blocks away. We made our way to it and found some seats. I sat down in one of the chairs and was talking to one of my friends. While this was going on, my friend David Tran decided he would try to talk to Arin. He approached her and said “You look bored.” At this comment, Arin seemed confused and commented that she was fine, not bored at all. Still a bit confused, Arin decided to go sit down. At this point Arin sat in the chair next to me and kept looking at me like I was supposed to say something to her. I finally gathered enough courage to compliment her on her watch; it was the best I could think of. We made some small talk, but then the friends she was with wanted to leave.

At this point I was a little disheartened about Arin leaving and not having anyway to get in touch with her. My friends decided to leave and go somewhere else, I went with them and at the next bar we went to we ran back into Arin and her group. I immediately started talking to her and we talked for a while. We exchanged phone numbers and I found out that she was supposed to go to a concert the following night with her friends.

One of our friends we had in common said she would try to get me a ticket for the show so I could hangout with her. At one point it didn’t look good for me, but then my friends came through with a ticket. When I got to the show Arin and I talked and people watched, we laughed at the same things and just seamed to get each other.

When the show ended we walked to the bar across the street for a drink, and that was when Arin put the moves on me and kissed me because I was to chicken.

From that point on I’ve been hooked.
